Romans 8 v 26; Matthew 23 v 27; John 11 v 33; Ps. 126 v 5 & 6; Jeremiah 9 v 10,v 17-21;Jeremiah 31 v 15; Galatians 4 v 19:
Recently I had the Spirit of travail come upon me as a speaker was teaching on Intercession. The reference was Mary washing Jesus feet with her tears and her lavish expression of intimacy, love and worship.
Travail is a work of the Holy Spirit. It is intense, emotional and gut retching, often with very little total understanding as to all that is happening. But we are invited to release this burden to Jesus our great Intercessor. As much as there is the feeling of bearing down, in fact travail releases the burden upwards in to God's hands.
This can happen in private where there is more more freedom of expression. It can happen in public. If this is you, you may wish to move to a more private ,secluded place in the room or even prostrate your self. Others who recognize travail can protect the person but not touch or minister to them until it is complete.
Afterwards it helps to take a few minutes to refocus back into the surroundings but you can feel drained. Re fill with Jesus and cover your self with His blood.Trust the results to Him.
Do not look for this to happen, but don't be surprised if it does.Travail has been released in this intense, waring and birthing season
